First Week

I have officially finished my first week of attending all my classes, every day was an amazing experience. The way that this college is run is very beneficial. I love how every class starts with a prayer, that is something that I think helps bring the Spirit into class. The teachers spend a lot of time in class teaching us in the text book as well as cross referencing it with church doctrine so we see both the worldly view as well as the way God intended it to be viewed. I have noticed a difference in my learning, I tend to be able to understand the material better, which is a plus.

I have been living away from home for almost two weeks, which is bitter sweet. I miss my family, but my roommates act as temporary family. We get along very well, we spend a lot of time together. They are my new best friends and I know that they always will be my friends.

This week is going to be fun, I am going to a dentist up here to find out my options on how I can get perfect teeth so that I can be accepted into dental school!

I'm HERE!

The college life is amazing! I have met so many new friends through roommates, neighbors and ward members, not to mention all the hot guys I have met! Iceburg, I mean Rexburg is very cold, and it hasn't stopped snowing! My classes are great, the professors are better then high school teachers and actually want to work with you and care about your progress. This semester I am attempting an online class, so far I am enjoying it, but I am missing out on interaction face to face with the students in the class :( That's all for now, got to get caught up on AP before I head to a guys house to watch the big game!

Money :)

For the past few months I have been calling and emailing the financial aid people. I wanted to know how much I was getting, but the answer was always, we are still behind on the fall, be patient. GRR! I so did not want to be patient. I had my mom call this morning and WAAALAAA! My mom got them to post it. I got my grans and loans I am approved for. Good news is....I don't need any loans...I don't think, still working on the math :) Maybe I will stick to the babysitting and get some more snack money before I leave :)

Boxes

Hanging on my wall was three wooden boxes, each of different sizes. I had this brilliant idea to take them off the wall and paint them all black, then tie a huge white bow around each of them. I went down of Joann's and spent a good half hour deciding between sheer wired ribbon or just wired ribbon, hardest choice I have ever made in my life, not really but is sure seamed like it at the time. Afterward, I continued on my journey to Lowes, to get black paint. I picked out a sample and took it to the paint dude. He mixed up the paint and I took it home. I opened up the can, looked at my boxes, looked back at my paint can, and BAM it hit me, I forgot paint brushes! So, I went down to Ace and got some cheap sponge ones. When I finally got back, I put on my first coat, the color did not please me. I added a second coat, still not black enough. Well long story short eight coats later and I am some what satisfied. I may add another coat before I put the bows on. Pictures to come after I attach my bow! :))

Housing

After months of deliberation, I have finally decided on my apartment. I have chosen to stay at Colonial House. It is a very nice apartment complex that is furnished, houses 5 girls and has a 50'' flat screen T.V., like I will have time for that. It should be fun, can't wait to find out who my roommates are!
